This is one of our must go to stores: open space, good lighting and, good airflow. Most importantly, it carries plenty of dried Asian herbal supplies. Additionally, it carries fresh, and GOOD quality's vegetables and fruits. We like this particular store.
A great Chinese grocery with many many items which are probably standard for a Chinese kitchen but specialty items for people like me. Unfortunately the staff is only marginally pro in English and many of the items are labeled almost exclusively in Chinese so it can be a bit difficult figuring out what things are. That said, everyone was always very friendly and helpful to the extent that they could be.
I do not live in the LA area but do visit there sometimes. This store has quite many branch stores in SoCal. Stores are big with an abundance of oriental selections which I have visited a few and bought many things. Their online store is amazing too! I have ordered from them many times. The website is well organized (considering Asian items are not easy to categorize). They have sale items all the time. They also offer you a nice gift in your birthday month. Ordering and shipping are super efficient. I got my package delivered in just 3 days! Free shipping too for orders over $45. I can continue to be their customer anytime, anywhere. I came here for the first time today while waiting for my husband to get a haircut. There is a wide variety of herbal stuff and other Chinese supermarket that would carry. I end up buying a herbal cream that went on sale. There is also some pricy bird nest and ginseng stuff. I don't know much about that stuff, but if you are looking for any Chinese herbal stuff, this may be worth a place for you to check out. Wide selections.
This was my first time to this market because my Chinese friend wanted to show me this place. I originally came here to find some chopstick rests, but didn't find anything that was appealing to me. However, I did find the ground mushrooms that I have been searching for at other markets but couldn't find. Also, I found some jelly drink snacks that my son loved. The store had a massive amount of Chinese medicinal herbs if that's what you are looking for. They had fresh vegetables but not as much as other markets. The employees are eager to help you if you're looking for something and the service at the checkout was friendly.
What an interesting grocery store. Things are pretty pricey but that's probably just the cost of the unique items. They got tons of random herbal stuff like birds nest and other ginsengs. Really enjoyed pushing around the tiny carts.
If you're looking for authentic Chinese herbs and essentials. This is the place to go. Very spacious and clean store with a security guard at the front. I don't really purchase the herbs myself but my family loves coming here. I mainly come got the fresh produce that they have on a daily. They also have a large selection of Chinese cooking condiments. Some of the brand, you don't normally see at the regular Chinese supermarket. You know those are the tasty stuff for cooking. LOLLLL! I love they have a good selection of Chinese remedy, like the tiger balms, and white flower oil. Those work wonders for me! Service is fast, cashiers are nice but some can be irritated when you're moving slower or asking questions. Overall, it wasn't an issue for me.
The widest range of choices for Chinese herbs and fresh produces. Services are great and the staff are all friendly, genial and knowledgeable. The store was just open for one year in December 2021 so it's pretty new and clean! Super easy to park and pleasant TK shop here.
What's up: Wanted to come check this place out and see how things have changed from when it used to be a Pep Boys. Plus, we were also on the search for ingredients that we needed to make some yummy tapioca pearl dessert! Parking: Parking was busy up front, but if you head towards the back, you'll eventually find some open spots. The lot is shared with the nearby businesses. Environment: Masks are required. Wow, this place is huge and clean. Things were bright and well lit with lots of Lunar New Year decor. Once you walk in, you'll see the check-out counters on the left and tons of aisles all around. They even have a fresh produce section towards the back. Restrooms are located near the produce section. There's multiple cashiers but only one line for check out. What was bought: - Sweet Potato - Tapioca Pearls - Rock Sugar Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. We found our ingredients and we also found the sweet vinegar we usually get when we make ginger eggs...and they have it in different sizes! I know where we're going there next time we need this. Credit cards are accepted.
